Keystone Group to design & build mixed-use transit orientated development to serve as the permanent home to PPHS North, apartments and parking

Indianapolis, February 24, 2021

Purdue Polytechnic High School and Keystone Group are excited to announce the proposal for a new mixed-use transit orientated development in Broad Ripple. The proposed development will be a permanent home for a newly constructed school dedicated for Purdue Polytechnic High School’s Indianapolis North campus, 69 apartments and additional parking. PPHS North moved into temporary facilities acquired and renovated by Keystone Group at 1405 Broad Ripple for the 2019-2020 school year and is expected to reach capacity in the upcoming school year.  The proposed PPHS space within the new mixed-use development will be designed with the Purdue Polytechnic High School educational model in mind and will be complete with fully outfitted makerspaces, science labs, collaborative workspaces and state of the art technology.

Jennifer Pavlik, Keystone Group Vice President and Chief of Staff shared, “This project is important to the students and the neighborhood of Broad Ripple as well to Ersal Ozdemir, CEO of Keystone Group, a Purdue alumnus and someone who knows the value of a Purdue education.  Keystone Group is excited to continue our Partnership with Purdue Polytechnic High School.  Knowing they would eventually outgrow their current space we pledged to find another location that would meet their growth in the Broad Ripple neighborhood.  We want to thank the Broad Ripple Village Association for their support of this project and look forward to opening the new school for the 2022-2023 school year.”

“Keystone has been a strong partner with PPHS, working directly with students on project challenges and renovating our initial Broad Ripple campus,” said Scott Bess, Head of Schools for PPHS, “This new building will allow us to continue to serve the Broad Ripple and surrounding communities for years to come, offering a next generation high school experience in a next generation building.”

Keystone Group and PPHS have partnered not only in student facilities but also in preparing our students for entry into the workforce. Keystone serves as a PPHS Industry Partner, providing students with the opportunity to learn from their employees and exposure to the many career pathways that exist within their organization.
