Keystone Construction Completes Construction on Battery Innovation Center

Keystone Construction has completed construction of a battery research facility at the WestGate@Crane Technology Park for the Battery Innovation Center (BIC), an Indiana nonprofit corporation, who is leasing the building from Greene County, Indiana. This design-build project is a $15.6 million, 32,000 square foot project that includes battery laboratories, submarine battery test cells, one-percent humidity dryrooms, a power electronics lab, offices, engineering support areas, and battery testing and validation equipment. The BIC facility will provide state-of-the-art battery testing, validation services, product development and technology support to commercial industries, universities, the Department of Defense, and other government agencies. Consequently, BIC will help bring new battery innovations to market as participating companies and institutions collaborate to advance battery technologies from discovery to production.
The project was delivered a month ahead of schedule and on budget by Keystone Construction, Construction Manager.
Developer for this project was Keystone Realty Group in a public private partnership with Greene County, Indiana.
