"Keystone has shown great understanding of the unique challenges of working with a quasi-governmental agency such as ours. They worked with the CRC to proactively find creative financing solutions under strict time constraints. With that said, Keystone has consistently delivered projects on time and within budget."

Sophia Square, a 214-unit luxury apartment community, is a public/private partnership between Keystone Realty Group and the City of Carmel. It encompasses an entire city block in downtown Carmel, Indiana.
Keystone Construction broke ground on Sophia Square in the fall of 2008 and completed construction in 2011. This five-story mixed-use structure contains retail space on the first floor, luxury apartments on the main & upper four floors, and a two-story underground parking garage. Some of Sophia Square’s retail tenants include Main Street Poke, The Pint Room, and Vitality Bowl.
The challenge of this project was integrating a design that would meld the historic flavor of downtown Carmel while utilizing modern amenities. The project is registered to receive LEED Silver Certification and uses a number of energy-saving details including above standard insulation, green roof areas, water-saving fixtures, and regionally produced materials.
Keystone served in dual roles by incorporating construction management and development. Keystone Realty Group is the permanent property manager. See http://www.sophiasquareapts.com/ for more information.
